FulGaz is proud to be partnering with Lifeline Australia to bring their signature fundraising event, the Hope Cycle to life. With international travel still restricted, the Hope Cycle, Tour of Australia, has been designed to unite riders and donors from around the world, by cycling through every state and territory in Australia from the comfort of their own homes.

Known for some of the best cycling in the world, riders will tackle 15 stages including some of Australia's most iconic cycling destinations. Including Willunga Hill from the Tour Down Under, Beach Road in Melbourne, Mt Wellington in Tasmania and the Northern Territory.

You can tackle the challenge solo or in a team of up to 4 riders, riding in 'relay'. It's not about who wins, but crossing the finish line and having fun, whilst raising much needed funds.

The Hope Cycle - One life-saving ride

It is through connecting with others, we find hope. Lifeline is the leading provider of crisis support and suicide prevention in Australia. Currently they are answering a call from someone in crisis every 30 seconds, receiving over a million calls every year but they cannot answer all the calls for help.

Riders will cycle remote, rural and iconic stages paying homage to 41 Lifeline centres working in local communities across every state and territory of Australia. The last leg of The Hope Cycle will include a spectacular sunrise ride on World Suicide Prevention Day on 10th September 2021.

Through the Hope Cycle we are aiming to raise $100,000. Funds raised will deliver national crisis support services for those in their darkest moment and further support communities impacted by COVID, bushfires and ongoing drought across Australia.

Thanks to our partnership with Lifeline, the entry fees for this event have been significantly reduced, it costs Lifeline $39 to answer a call, that’s the same price as registration for The Hope Cycle.

But that's not the best part! All proceeds from entry fees will go directly back to Lifeline Australia, so we need your support to raise as much as we can.

$39 (+GST) entry fee per rider (Solo or Team Member)

Lifeline is Australia’s largest suicide prevention service, with a vision of an Australia free of suicide. The Lifeline network spans the nation with 41 centres in metropolitan, rural and remote areas.  There are over 10,000 volunteers and 1,000 employees working to ensure that no person in Australia has to face their darkest moments alone.

Lifeline aims to deliver digital services to Australian people in crisis, wherever they might be and in the mode in which they are most comfortable accessing support. Each year, Lifeline receives almost 1 million contacts from people in crisis.

Someone in Australia calls 13 11 14 every 30 seconds. Support is also available online, via webchat at lifeline.org.au (7pm – midnight AEDT) and through text message service on 0477 13 11 14 (6pm – midnight AEDT). If you, or someone you know is in need of support, please contact Lifeline.
